LightWrapz were invented by an Airfield Electrician, who saw a need for a safer, simpler solution to closing off taxiways, that were under construction. The process of using jumpers can be costly and dangerous, and the other common alternatives for covering lights (employing PVC piping, cement buckets, or trash bags) are time consuming and create dangerous Foreign Object Debris problems. Thus, the LightWrapz product line was born.
Lightwrapz products are utilized by airport operators to efficiently cover light fixtures, such as taxiway edgelights and airfield signs, in the event of a pavement closure or circuit outage.
LightWrapz can be used in place of jumpers to block out a portion of the circuit and can protect the airfield electrical equipment.
LightWrapz increase safety in the airport environment while decreasing overhead costs.
